Baguette diamonds are a type of diamond cut known for their elongated, rectangular shape with pointed corners, resembling a loaf of French bread, hence the name. They are typically step-cut, meaning they have long, parallel facets on the crown and pavilion, rather than the numerous, small facets of brilliant-cut diamonds. This cut gives them a distinct, geometric appearance and a subtle sparkle, often used as accent or side stones in rings and other jewelry.
